...under attack. Simbati felt her fur prickle with anticipation, fear. But she was not a coward. Her green eyes rapidly surveyed the land she called home - her pride was fighting as hard as they could, but these stranger were different. Stronger, even if they didn't look it. "Fight strong, my sisters!" roared Simbati as she began to run forward.

That was when something caught her eye: fire. Fear leapt strong in her heart, then anger. A living creature - two of the strangers and... before she could really control herself, a bitter snarl leapt from Simbati's throat and she rushed toward the nearest of these strange leonines - these monsters.

"Intruders! Monsters! Leave!" snarled Simbati as she rushed at Nuru. Her muscled figure tensed, shoulders bunched as she prepared to swing her claws...

The current challenge/happening at - the lions of have encroached on Rooibos territory. They've made a kill, but they are definitely not welcome.

Simbati is fighting Nuru, ~Larka18's character from #The-Misfit-Pride. I figured (from what I did read on their forums) that Nuru might not want to set Simbati on fire just yet after what happened. Maybe.

Anyway, about the background: I was lazy and used a couple blur effects again.

About the poses: I really like Nuru's pose, though it's a bit awkward. One of the back paws (the closest one) was really odd-looking, but... the grass covers it. So. Oh well. Simbati's pose... is really weird and does not show her motion as well as I would like: she's actually in the middle of swinging her nearest forepaw out for an attack.

Tried a different shading technique... but I dunno that I like it. :/
